Stortech D056-AHD – Analogue HD Camera Specification
This Stortech D056-AHD dome camera is a polycarbonate micro dome camera, 960P AHD which comes with a 2.5mm lens, colour of the camera can be either black or white, mirror image cut loop and IP67 weatherproofing.
With flush mounting and IP67 weatherproofing this camera can be dropped into a body of water up to a meter deep for half an hour. This makes the D056 both an indoor and outdoor camera.

This dome camera is extremely compact but very powerful. With the dome only weighing 115g and having the circumference size of a standard tea mug it is a great covert vehicle camera.

The main difference between this D057-AHD camera and the D056-AHD-PC camera is that this D057 has an IR sensor.
Sensor
This D056-AHD model comes with a CMOS sensor which allows each pixel to be read individually. With CMOS sensors using several transistors next to each pixel this allows for lower light sensitivity and will also consume very little power.
HD Resolution Capability
HD refers to high definition or 720p/1080p resolution, 1080p is known as Full HD. This resolution is a significant step up from 480p which can be seen in the image (on the right).
The first figure (1920) refers to horizontal pixels and the second figure (1080) denotes vertical resolution. The simple difference between HD and SD images is the number of pixels contained in the image

IP Rating – What is IP67?
IP or Ingress Protection ratings are international standard ratings to define the sealing effectiveness of electrical enclosures against dirt, moisture and foreign bodies. The first number that follows IP has a specific meaning which indicates the level of protection the equipment has to foreign bodies excluding water. The second number will identify the level of protection the product has to moisture (submersion, drips, sprays etc).
(6) Totally dust-tight. Full protection against dust and other particulates, including a vacuum seal, tested against continuous airflow.
(7) Protection against full immersion for up to 30 minutes at depths of 3 feet.
Backlight Compensation (BLC)
Backlight Compensation (BLC) technology works by reducing the dynamic range of the entire image while retaining the overall contrast. By compensating for unbalanced in a scene, the detail is restored throughout the field of view so as to provide better visibility to identify an object of interest.
True Day/Night (TDN)
True Day/Night feature can be used for precise colour reproduction. With a built-in dual filter system, known as the Infrared Cut filter Removal (ICR) mechanism, the infrared cut filter can be used at day time, or in bright lighting conditions, to provide enhanced image in full-colour. At night time, or in harsh lighting conditions, it will be removed for greater light sensitivity in monochrome mode.

E11 Certification Vehicle Approval
The E11 Mark is the British specific Mark that covers equipment/vehicles supplied to the automotive industry. This includes commercial vehicles, construction machinery and general vehicle use and basically means the unit has been approved by ECU compliance and quality control regulations. ()
